Our expertise

The Hart Centre difference

There are many client referral programs out there - but there's one important difference we're very proud of:

Our mission is to facilitate the best possible therapeutic fit between therapists and clients.

Our proprietary matching algorithm (not AI), personalised matching and our Great-Match Guarantee means we have some of the highest success rates in the industry.

18+ years experience
230+ Hart Associates
83,000+ happy clients

Benefits

Our core focus is partnering with high-quality clinicians, to support them in growing their private practices, by providing expertly matched clients.

Together, we can elevate the quality of mental health in Australia (and beyond).

Targeted Clientele

Our dedicated administration team strive to book clients whose needs align with your expertise, ensuring a better match for higher success rates and enhanced therapist satisfaction. This has established a consistent stream of bookings, by improving client satisfaction and retention rates.

Low Fees

We do not operate on a franchise model, so there are no large upfront fees for new Associates who join our group. Our business model is built on a fair and transparent Win/Win/Win formula, and we offer all-inclusive memberships to support your growing practice.

Administrative Ease

We handle the initial appointment bookings, fee and client confirmations, so you have the freedom to spend more time doing what you’re great at – helping people.
We retain only the first fee, directly from the client - so there's no monthly invoice to pay.

Supportive Community

We understand working in private practice can be isolating. We have built an engaging community of mental-health professionals that goes beyond professional networks. We believe in the power of collaboration to share insights, support personal and professional growth, and build lasting connections.

Flexibility and Choice

Set your own work days and appointment times, with full control over your practice hours and holidays. Choose the various types of counselling and therapeutic approaches you'd like to offer.

Continuous Learning Opportunities (CPD)

Our memberships include access to our large body of resources, training opportunities and regularly-held CPD events such as group webinars and supervision. We hold annual conferences presented by world-class speakers such as Janina Fisher (May 2024), based on our industry insights and trends.

Launching your Private Practice

We understand the excitement and nervousness that launching your own private practice can involve. We use our deep insights into client demand, across over 35,000 client enquiries per year, and can provide advice and assistance to determine your unique point of difference, the clients you most like to work with, and the ones you don't.

Our model is unique - in that we only benefit when you do, so we're committed to working together to ensure you stand out from the competition.

In addition, you'll gain access to professional development opportunities and a supportive community of colleagues—allowing you to focus on delivering exceptional care while building a thriving practice.

Established Private Practices

Already established Private Practice

For therapists in private practice, life can get lonely. We understand the isolation that comes with independent work and the constant pressure of finding suitable clients. At The Hart Centre, we connect established practitioners with high-quality clients matched to your specific expertise and preferences, eliminating the ongoing burden of client acquisition.

By joining our network, you maintain your professional independence while gaining access to a supportive community of like-minded colleagues, regular professional development opportunities, and administrative support. We handle the marketing and screening process, allowing you to focus exclusively on delivering exceptional care while building a more rewarding and sustainable practice with clients you truly enjoy working with.

Group Practices

Benefits for Group Practices

As leaders of an established group practice, we understand the balancing act required to maintain quality care while ensuring your therapists are appropriately utilized. At The Hart Centre, we offer capped membership specifically designed for group practices, allowing you to enrol multiple therapists from your team.

This flexible arrangement helps you effectively manage caseload fluctuations across your practice. We provide a steady stream of pre-screened, quality clients matched to each therapist's expertise and preferences, eliminating marketing costs and administrative burden. By partnering with us, you maintain complete autonomy over your practice while gaining access to our professional community, development resources, and proven systems—all designed to enhance your practice's efficiency, therapist satisfaction, and overall profitability.

Our partners

We are selective about who we partner with

Ethically aligned

All Hart Certified therapists who are offered an Associate position, must be ethically aligned with how we work.
Our ethics are integrity, fairness, respect and consistent improvement. We admit our mistakes, do the right thing (even when no-ones looking) and are constantly striving for excellence.

Client-centred approach

We only bring on therapists who are client-centred in their approach, drawing from many different methodologies and tools, to meet the clients where they're at. Therapists are only able to offer counselling types they are both formally trained in, and experienced in.
We genuinely care about our clients' therapeutic outcomes.

Mutual respect and collaboration

We don't work with anyone who doesn't show us, our team, and Hart clients mutual respect and consideration. We're passionate about treating people how we would like to be treated, and don't accept therapists who aren't fair, kind and respectful in their words and actions.
